Of state sponsored abductions - Justice Sibanda

The US is yet to reach a final conclusion on the killing of journalist Jamal Khashoggi, officials say, despite reports the CIA believes it was ordered by the Saudi crown prince.
"Numerous unanswered questions" remain, a State Department statement said.
Sources told US media they did not believe the murder could have taken place without the approval of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman (MBS).

As this saga draws to an end we can't help but think about the numerous Zimbabweans who have met similar fate at the hands of the Zanu PF regime. Our thoughts are with the families that will never have answers to what befell their loved ones. As in the Khashoggi incident, they committed no crimes, they only spoke up against the corruption, bad governance, human rights abuses, economic mismanagement and unemployment so high that you can no longer call it rampant. I have no doubt that the fate they befell came from orders from the highest office in the land.

As part of the way forward I propose a database of all opponents of the Zimbabwean government that are missing. I implore the Zimbabwean Government to bring closure to hundreds of families and let them know what happened to their loved ones and where their remains. Mugabe may be gone but the hurt he has caused can still be felt so strongly.

NGOs over to you, let's get this database up and running.

The struggle goes on 😢
