A Year and a Dream - Lamentations of Melusi Sibanda

Wow!!! What a hiatus! Absolutely no commentary needed from me. A farce of a 'coup' and an 'election', or the least, pathetic efforts of both. All we have established is that we Zimbabweans excel in half - assery and folly.

From the shear lunacy of G40 to Team La coste, there's no wonder why we're the only state that seems to have endured the pointless drama that was Santa Barbara in the 90s. At this point, I dare say that it's time to move on.

Change has happened and we have to play the hand we've been dealt with. Unfortunately, as is often the case in Africa, the opposition party did nothing to prepare an electoral defeat. 'Shock and disgust' are simply not good enough reactions to a loss, particularly after being out manoeuvred by an old uncharismatic Zanu head who's tactics lacked an ounce of creativity. To me that reaction from Chamisa exposed his thick headedness and myopic point of view. The fact that he thought that he'd walk away from the first election as president without preparing to be a viable parliamentary opposition is sheer lunacy. His idiocy is unfathomable - ngamawala!!!! I certainly hope he learns from this. Politics requires a cool head - hint, Thoko Khupe.

That said, we have to pick ourselves up and dust ourselves down from this malarkey. Let's try to do some positive nation building while the MDC gets their act together. Love him or hate him ED has had a positive air about him and it is upto us to get the country running again. I for one am ready to play my part.

Until the crocodile snaps at us - Peace out bitches✌️
